Law produces social transformations. The legal framework for service employees in the catering sector can have a positive or negative impact on the recruitment and retention of workers. This article focuses on the legal framework of wages in Quebec, mainly those of tip employees, while drawing a parallel with the legal framework in France to better understand the specifics of each country and possibly draw inspiration from the system in place in French society.
