The availability of cross-country data on thebusiness environment has rapidly expanded in recent years, including data from the World Bank's doing businessproject and enterprise surveys. These data sources report onthe scope and types of regulations that enhance, andconstrain, business activity and provide information onbusiness owners' assessments of the businessenvironment.
