The idea of social inclusion hasgarnered considerable attention, especially in the contextof two recent developments: the Sustainable DevelopmentGoals and the heightened attention to inequality. This paperreviews the manner and extent to which social inclusion isaddressed in the first 17 Systematic Country Diagnostics(SCDs), which are ex ante, country-level assessmentsconducted by the World Bank Group, ahead of the preparationof its Country Partnership Frameworks.
