This report concerns two streams ofTechnical Assistance provided by the World Bank Water andSanitation Program (WSP) to the Government of Vietnam. Theyare: strengthening the enabling environment, capacitybuilding systems and evidence-based learning and lessonsharing. Strengthening demand creation and supply chaindevelopment together these TAs make up a support program toassist the Government of Vietnam, particularly the Ministryof Health (MOH) in accelerating progress on sanitation underthe third National Target Program on Rural Water Supply andSanitation (NTP3). WSP has supported the government toimprove the enabling environment for sanitation servicedelivery; strengthen rural sanitation supply chains;generate demand for improved sanitation; and inform servicedelivery models through knowledge and learning. The TAsbegan in Dec 2012 and are due to end in Jun 2016. Thisreport documents the results and lessons learned from theTA, and makes recommendations for future activities insupport of rural sanitation.
