【 摘 要 】

WegenotypedaChineseandanIndian-originrhesusmacaqueusingtheAffymetrixGenome-WideHumanSNPArray6.0andcataloged85,473uniquelymappingheterospecificSNPs.TheseSNPswereassignedtorhesuschromosomesaccordingtotheirprobesequencealignmentsasdisplayedinthehumanandrhesusreferencesequences.Theconservedgeneorder(synteny)revealedbyheterospecificSNPmapsisinconcordancewiththatofthepublishedhumanandrhesusmacaquegenomes.

UsingtheseSNPs'originalhumanrsnumbers,weidentified12,328genesannotatedinhumansthatareassociatedwiththeseSNPs,3674ofwhichwerefoundinatleastoneofthetworhesusmacaquesstudied.Duetotheirdensity,theheterospecificSNPsallowfine-grainedcomparisons,includingapproximateboundariesofintra-andextra-chromosomalrearrangementsinvolvinggeneorthologs,whichcanbeusedtodistinguishrhesusmacaquechromosomesfromhumanchromosomes.
