One operatic role and two vocal recitals were performed in lieu of a written dissertation.Repertoire for the recitals was chosen to demonstrate advanced vocal technique, musicality and a range of languages.The role Komponist in Ariadne auf Naxos (Richard Strauss) demanded vocal stamina and advanced technical skill.The first recital, Women Composers, presented the work of women composers after 1840.The second recital, Grown up Music for those Growing Up, featured classical art songs chosen for a children’s audience.
