This IEG evaluation brings a freshperspective to the debate by assessing the developmenteffectiveness of the Bank's recent work. It presentsevidence -- including views from the client countriesthemselves -- about the outcomes of the Bank's supportto individual countries over the past 12 years. It alsospotlights three growing dimensions of the Bank Group'srole -- sharing knowledge across countries, engagingcountries in global programs, and combining support to thepublic and private sectors
