【 摘 要 】

The author surveys the empiricalliterature on the relationship between governance of publicpension fund management and investment performance. He makesa preliminary attempt to identify good governance practicesand distill governance guidelines aimed at reducing thepolitical risk that is associated with central, publicpension fund management. The author highlights the need forfurther work to support the development of a satisfactoryset of governance guidelines.
