The World Bank operations over the pastseven years have included substantial activities in supportof private participation in infrastructure (PPI). The authorshows that, in keeping with its mandate, the Bank hasfocused primarily on policy-related PPI support, forexample, to establish an appropriate legal and regulatoryenvironment and on the least developed regions, especially Africa.
