The last decade has witnessed anincreasing global awareness of human impact on theplanet's climate and its likely consequences. However,strategic and structural complexities hinder furthercompliance and participation in efforts to establish aglobal agreement for climate change mitigation. This induceseconomists and environmentalists to further investigate thetwo-way relationship between trade and climate change, thatis, climate-related consequences of liberalized trade andpossible benefits of using trade policy for climate change mitigation.
