【 摘 要 】

This report focuses on the nexus ofenvironment and gender equality, defined as equality ofaccess to and control over natural resources and developmentbenefits; and equality of access to decision-making andrepresentation for environmental and natural resourcesmanagement process.The report provides recommendations toexpand women's opportunities to own land; expandmen's and women's knowledge and participation inreducing exposure to environmental hazards; strengthengender mainstreaming efforts at the national policy level;improve women's participation at national, regional andlocal levels; and expand women's involvement indemand-side accountability mechanisms for environmental governance.
