【 摘 要 】

This report aims to strengthen themonitoring and evaluation (M&E) aspects of HIV/AIDScomponents in road projects. Result-based M&E helpsdecision makers assess whether and how goals are beingachieved over time, while at the same time identify problemsthat need to be tackled. The report assesses the extent ofM&E in current HIV/AIDS components in the portfolio ofroad projects financed by the World Bank. It provides anoverview of work to date to identify core indicators formeasuring results of HIV and AIDS prevention, specificallyfocusing on the monitoring of results of transport relatedactivities, proposing a menu of HIV and AIDS indicators anda sample results framework.
