In face of growing concern related toclimate change, green technology entrepreneurs arecritically needed to develop the businesses and ideas behindclimate mitigation in developing countries - but theyfrequently collide with challenges endemic to suchenvironments. The purpose of this study is to shed light onthe role that connections can play in helping greentechnology entrepreneurs innovate and scale up in developingcountries, so as to inform the design of new public sectorprograms. Green technology entrepreneurs in developingcountries need connection platforms for people, ideas,business models, transactions, as well as membership ofexpert communities. This study shows how cheaper, quicker,and more efficient connections can be created amongstakeholders of green technology innovation in developingcountries. This is done through drawing insights from avariety of public and private programs that seek to promoteconnections between entrepreneurs in green technology andother sectors. The report is based on 14 case studies ofdifferent programs spanning more than 80 countries. Thegeneral findings are presented in part one and insights fromthe individual case studies can be found in part two.
