【 摘 要 】

This paper explores the relationshipbetween two regimes for preventing corruption: the detectionand monitoring of politically exposed persons (PEPs) for thepurpose of combating money laundering, and asset disclosurerequirements for public officials. These regimes aregenerally designed and implemented separately. Yet as thispaper shows, an innovative use of asset disclosure toolscould benefit PEP practitioners. The paper seeks to raiseawareness of this potential and to connect asset disclosureand PEP practitioners.
