This report provides an assessment ofthe current state of development of financial safety netsand bank resolution frameworks in eight countries insouthern Africa (Botswana, Eswatini [formerly Swaziland],Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia, andZimbabwe). It has been prepared to inform ongoing andplanned technical assistance projects in the southern Africaregion and to provide a basis for engagement with theauthorities in each of the countries covered by the study.This summary draws from more detailed material contained ina comprehensive study.
