【 摘 要 】

The 2018 database on Health Equity andFinancial Protection indicators provides data on equity inthe delivery of health service interventions and healthoutcomes, and on financial protection in health. This paperprovides a brief history of the database, gives an overviewof the contents of the 2018 version of the database, andthen gets into the details of the construction of its twosides -- the health equity side and the financial protectionside. The paper also provides illustrative uses of thedatabase, including the extent of and trends in inequity inmaternal and child health intervention coverage, the extentof inequities in women's cancer screening and inpatientcare utilization, and trends and inequalities in theincidence of catastrophic health expenditures.
