【 摘 要 】
In 2013, the Board of ExecutiveDirectors of the World Bank Group endorsed two ambitiousgoals: eliminating extreme poverty in the world by 2030 andboosting shared prosperity. The latter is defined asfostering the growth in the income of the poorest 40 percentof the population in each country. In 2016-17, the WorldBank's Independent Evaluation Group conducted anevaluation on how well the World Bank Group has beenpursuing the shared prosperity goal in its strategies, projects, and key knowledge products, and what lessons canbe learned from the early implementation experience with thenew goal of shared prosperity. To inform that evaluation, acomprehensive survey among World Bank Group staff graded Fand above was set up to elicit staff views and understandingof the goal and gauge how World Bank Group staff haveoperationalized the objective in their day-to-day work. Thesurvey builds on good practice design in the literature aswell as actions to strengthen the response rate. This paperreports on the design, methodology (including issues ofsampling, questionnaire testing, data collection, andresponse rate), implementation, and results from thatweb-based survey. The results imply potential institutionalactions to strengthen the World Bank Group'seffectiveness in implementing the goal in the future.
