【 摘 要 】
In recent years, Turkey has been host tomore than two million Syrians seeking refuge. Initiallyconcentrated in the southeastern regions, these refugees nowreside throughout the country. There are many questions frompolicy makers regarding the impact of the population ofSyrians Under Temporary Protection on the host community.This paper examines the impact of migrants on regional hostcommunities from a poverty perspective. The paper does notfind any negative impacts on poverty for the host communityfrom the increasing population of Syrians Under TemporaryProtection as of 2013, despite the high poverty ratesexperienced among the recent migrants.
