Public Work Programs (PWPs) can be auseful tool for poverty reduction and social protectionprovision in Myanmar by presenting a coherent framework toachieve several objectives (seasonal income and foodsecurity, disaster recovery, community resilience, socialcohesion). For PWPsto be effective and sustainable, designshould respond to local conditions and implementation shouldengage government structures that provide a scalable platform.
