【 摘 要 】

Social protection can help buildpeople’s social and economic resilience against disasters inMyanmar. Regular cash transfers, including public worksprograms, can help smooth consumption,build and maintainassets, and develop human capital to better cope withnatural hazards. Disaster risk management (DRM) systems canbe linked to social protection programs to trigger asafetynet response in times of emergencies. Community-drivendevelopment (CDD) programs could provide a useful platformfor social protection programming to respond to disastersand build long termresilience in Myanmar.
