The Republic of Sudan’s seaports used tobe known for congestion resulting from the slow processingof imported goods. In response, the government created an adhoc National Committee on trade facilitation to helpstreamline the processing of goods coming in and tofacilitate trade. This smart lesson describes the stepstaken in setting up the National Committee on TradeFacilitation and the challenges involved.
