【 摘 要 】

Emerging market countries, particularlyIndia and nations in Sub-Saharan Africa, can benefit fromadvanced farming technologies that mitigate the effects ofclimate change and protect environmental resources. Waterscarcity is an issue that can be overcome by adoptingclimate smart technologies such as micro-irrigation. Thereare several precision agriculture investment opportunitiesavailable to the private sector, including agriculturalextension via digital advisory services, drip irrigation,solar pumps, and crop and soil monitoring. Climate smartfarming techniques can increase agricultural productivityand farmer income, make rural communities more resilient,and mitigate climate change. Precision agriculture is partof the solution to feeding a population that is growingfaster than available land supply, while also ensuring thesustainable use of water and energy.
