【 摘 要 】

In this paper we describe a modular approach to building web services that supports collaborative, cross-enterprise modes of working. The web component model emphasises the separation of state and behaviour. Our functional components are web services, while state is reified as web resources. Where components are composed, they need not communicate directly with each other, but via shared state. The approach is motivated by a scenario drawn from the world of e-print. 14 Pages
