【 摘 要 】

In this paper, an integrable (2 + 1)-dimensional modified Lotka-Volterra equation is considered. This is a semi-discrete system, having discrete space and continuous time which has a known (I + I)dimensional self-dual network equation as a reduction. Its bilinear Backlund transformation and Lax pair are also presented and explicit solutions including soliton solutions expressed in terms of pfaffians are obtained. Finally, the reduction of these solutions to (1 + 1) dimensions is considered. (C) 2005 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
