We present new examples of elliptic curves having the bounded rank in cyclotomic towers of function fields over C. Our key method is to utilize the monodromy of the Gaussian hypergeometric functions for the computation of the Mordell-Weil groups. (C) 2019 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
