【 摘 要 】

The article aims to explain the different meanings of the concept of peacebuilding based on the following aspects: discussions of armed conflict,the debates in shaping the UN and peacekeeping operations, liberal peace as dominant current and theories or “paradigms” of peaceful conflict intervention through research studies for peace. The study is exploratory and seeks to provide basic conceptual tools for the analysis and understanding of this concept by future researchers for peace.
