【 摘 要 】

Kinetic studies on an electrochemical bromination reaction are presented. In the presence of different carbon nanoparticles bromide salts were used as safe bromine sources and the interplay of graphene derivates with different electrode materials was investigated. Boron-doped graphene in combination with graphite electrodes was found to be an efficient promotor for the regioselective bromination of arenes. Graphite electrodes not only provided the best results in combination with Boron-doped graphene but also proved to be stable under the reaction conditions as shown by SEM and EDX measurements while other electrodes displayed some fouling. Among the beneficial effects of the addition of Boron-doped graphene is the increased product formation constant and the extension of the applied substrate scope, while still providing a safe and user-friendly bromination protocol.
