【 摘 要 】
In order to improve the deficient high school academic performance in Mexico, it is necessary to study its predictor variables. The objective of this study was to measure the trajectories ofself-regulation, resilience, and educational goals in the academic performance of high school students, in relation to the perceived risk behavior on the part of friends and the risk environment in the schools. One hundred and twenty lowperforming high school students in the city of Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico were interviewed. A trajectory analysis showed that the variablesunder study protect students from the negative effects of the perception of risk in the school environment and in the behavior of friends.
