【 摘 要 】

Therudd,Scardiniuserythrophthalmus(Linnaeus,1758)isacommonfreshwaterfishspecies,whichwidelyspreadinEuropeandmiddleAsia.S.erythrophthalmuswasfirstreportedLakeUluabatinTurkeybyBergin1921.Thisspeciesdoesnothavemucheconomicvaluebutitisimportantasfoodforcarnivorousfishspecieslivinginthefreshwatersystem.ThepresentstudyaimstodeterminethepopulationgrowthofScardiniuserythorphthalmuspopulationinLakeUluabat(alsoknownasLakeApolyont).Inthisstudy,417individualsofS.erythrophthalmuswerecaughtandexaminedeachmonthbetweenMarch2006andFebruary2007byutilizinggillnetsinvarioussizes.Byutilizingthemeasuredlengths,weights,anddeterminedages,thevonBertalanffygrowthequationswerecalculated.Munro’sPhiPrimeTestwasusedinordertocomparethecalculatedequationswithpreviousstudiesTheagesofpopulationrangedbetweenI-VIIagegroups.Thepercentagesoffemaleswere59%,males32%and9%juvenileoutoffishsamples.Forklengthoffemalesrangedbetween13-31.8cmand27-478ginweight;asformaleswere12.3-28cminlengthand22.2-308ginweight.Thelength-weightrelationshipwasestimatedasW=0.0087L3.1782forfemalesandW=0.0091L3.1593formales.BertalanffygrowthparameterswerecomputedforfemalesasL∞=38.47cm,W∞=945.01g,K=0.191318year-1andt0=-1.15495year;formalesasL∞=31.72cm,W∞=506.84g,K=0.309779year-1andt0=-0.58332year.ThisstudypresentspopulationstructureandgrowthfeaturesofS.erythrophthalmusspeciesinLakeUluabat,whichisoneofthemostimportantfishfarmsinTurkey,andcomparesgrowthfeatureswithotherareas.
