On the effect of the injection of potassium phosphate in vivo inducing the precipitation of serum calcium with inorganic phosphate

【 摘 要 】

Highconcentrationsofinorganicphosphate(Pi)resultedfromthehydrolysisofATPisstronglyassociatedtotheweaknessofthecontractilemechanismofmusclesduetoitsattractivenesstocalcium.Themajorityoftheexperimentstostudysucheffectareconductedinvitro.ThisworkinvestigatestheeffectsofdifferentconcentrationsofPi,inducedbytheinjectionofpotassiumphosphateinliveanimals,intheprecipitationwithserumcalciumandthegenerationofcalciumphosphatecomposites.Theexperimentswerealsodesignedtofindouttheidealamountofpotassiumphosphatetoinduceaneffectivereaction.PotassiumphosphatewasinjectedinWistarrats,randomlyseparatedanddistributedintosevengroups.GroupIwasinjectedwith0.5mlofsalinesolution(control)andgroupsIIthroughVIIwereinjectedwith0.5,1.5,2.5,5.0,7.5and10.0mg/kgofpotassiumphosphate,respectively.Bloodcollectedfromtheinferiorvenacavawassubmittedtobiochemicalanalysestomeasuretheconcentrationsofcalcium,Pi,ureaandcreatinine.TheresultsshowedthatPi,inducedbytheinjectionofpotassiumphosphateinliveanimals,causesprecipitationwithserumcalcium,withstatisticallysignificantdifferencesbetweenthecontrolandthetreatmentgroupsfordosesupto5.0mg/kg.Nostatisticallysignificantdifferenceswerefoundbetweenthedifferentdosesandtheconcentrationofureaandcreatinineintheplasma.Weconcludethatpotassiumphosphatecanbeusedtoinduceserumcalciumprecipitationin-vivo,withminoreffectsonotherphysiologicalvariables,andtheidealdosetodosois5.0mg/kg.(IJPPP1310003).
