【 摘 要 】

Cellsdelaminatefromepithelialplacodestoformsensorygangliainthevertebratehead.Wedescribetheformationofcranialneurogenicplacodesinthezebrafish,Daniorerio,usingbHLHtranscriptionfactorsasmolecularmarkers.Asingleneurogeningene,neurogenin1(ngn1),isrequiredforthedevelopmentofallzebrafishcranialganglia,whichcontrastswithotherdescribedvertebrates.Expressionofngn1delineateszebrafishganglionicplacodes,includingtrigeminal,lateralline,andepibranchialplacodes.Inaddition,ngn1isexpressedinasubsetofcellswithintheoticvesiclethatwilldelaminatetoformtheoctaval(statoacoustic)ganglion.Thetrigeminalplacodeisthefirsttodifferentiate,andformsjustlateralandadjacenttotheneuralcrest.Expressionofngn1istransientandprefiguresexpressionofarelatedbHLHtranscriptionfactor,neuroD.Interferingwithngn1functionusingaspecificantisensemorpholinooligonucleotideblocksdifferentiationofallcranialgangliabutnotassociatedglialcells.Laterallinesensoryneuromastsdevelopindependentlyofngn1function,suggestingthattwoderivativesoflaterallineplacodes,gangliaandmigratingprimordia,areunderseparategeneticcontrol.
