【 摘 要 】

An efficient and iron-catalysed synthesis of 4𝐻-pyrano[3,2-𝑏]pyrrole is reported. The reactions proceed through a one-pot, three component cyclocondensation of 3-hydroxypyrrole, malononitrile and various aldehydes to afford 4𝐻-pyrano[3,2-𝑏]pyrrole derivatives in moderate to good yield using ferric hydrogensulphate, Fe(HSO4)3, as the catalyst.
