【 摘 要 】

Reaction of 𝛼,𝛽-unsaturated aromatic carboxylic acids with KBr and H2O2 in the presence of Na2MoO4$cdot$H2O in aqueous medium affords 𝛽-bromo alkenes in high yields. Metallocene dichlorides, Cp2MCl2 (M = Ti, Zr, or V) catalyse polymerisation of olefins in aqueous medium to afford high molecular weight polymers with low molecular weight distribution.
