【 摘 要 】
An ð‘…-module ð‘€ is called a multiplication module if for each submodule ð‘ of ð‘€, ð‘=ð¼ð‘€ for some ideal ð¼ of ð‘…. As defined for a commutative ring ð‘…, an ð‘…-module ð‘€ is said to be reduced if the intersection of prime submodules of ð‘€ is zero. The prime spectrum and minimal prime submodules of the reduced module ð‘€ are studied. Essential submodules of ð‘€ are characterized via a topological property. It is shown that the Goldie dimension of ð‘€ is equal to the Souslin number of Spec (ð‘€). Also a finitely generated module ð‘€ is a Baer module if and only if Spec (ð‘€) is an extremally disconnected space; if and only if it is a ð¶ð‘†-module. It is proved that a prime submodule ð‘ is minimal in ð‘€ if and only if for each $xin N,mathrm{Ann}(x)subseteq(N:M)$. When ð‘€ is finitely generated; it is shown that every prime submodule of ð‘€ is maximal if and only if ð‘€ is a von Neumann regular module ($VNM$); i.e., every principal submodule of ð‘€ is a summand submodule. Also if ð‘€ is an injective ð‘…-module, then ð‘€ is a $VNM$
