【 摘 要 】
PurposeSurgical site infection (SSI) is a main complication after adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) surgery. Nasal colonization with S. aureus is a known risk factor for developing nosocomial infections in cardiac surgery. However, the risk in orthopedic surgery remains unclear, especially in spine surgery. This study aims to report the efficacy of a preoperative nasal decontamination program in S. aureus carriers on the incidence of early SSI after AIS posterior surgery.
