【 摘 要 】
A simple, efficient and cleanprocedure has been developed for the C-alkylation of barbituricacid. The Michael addition of barbituric acid to α,β-unsaturatedesters by employing K2CO3 in the nano-mordenite media(K2CO3/nano-MOR), as catalyst, gave C-alkylatedbarbituric acid in good to excellent yield. Nano-MOR showed good reusability.K2CO3/nano-MOR catalyst has been found to be an excellentcatalyst for the reaction under solvent-free conditions at 80-90 °C.
