【 摘 要 】
Amphotericin B (AB) is the standard drug forinvasive fungal infection therapy. It has a broad spectrum of activity and itis the best antifungal available against most yeasts and molds. Its therapeuticuse, however, is limited by significant side effects, leading to a low therapeuticindex when it is used as the traditional formulation (Fungizone®). Dueto self-association, AB can form pores in cholesterol-containing membranes.We propose a triglyceride-rich nanoemulsion as a delivery system for AB in lowlevels of aggregation to reduce the toxicity against host cells.
