Three collaborative piano recitals were performed in lieu of a written dissertation.The repertoire for these recitals was chosen to highlight music that has been especially influential during my graduate studies. The first recital, In Daintiness & Determination: Music by Women, contained works written by significant female composers of the 19th and 20th centuries. The second recital was a lecture recital on the music of contemporary composer Tom Cipullo with an emphasis on the value of exploring new music.
