The first recital, ;;Theme and Variations,” included highlights of theme and variation works in the violin repertoire ranging from Bach to Messiaen. The second recital, a lecture-recital titled ;;Dance,” illustrated how twentieth-century composers of different nationalities composed dances for the violin.
