【 摘 要 】

The 2008 edition of the little greendata book includes a focus section, four introductory pagesthat focus on a specific issue related to development andthe environment. This year the focus is on the damage fromclimate change and carbon dioxide emissions. As this focusshows, global warming can have negative effects onagriculture, health, infrastructure, and other economicactivities effects that are likely to hit developingcountries the hardest. While high-income countries emit morecarbon dioxide than developing countries, emissions fromdeveloping countries are growing at a faster pace. Andemissions per capita in high income countries are still fivetimes higher than in developing countries.
