Over its lifetime, the ICP has become the principal source of data on thepurchasing power parities (PPPs) of currencies, measures ofreal per capita income, and measures of real gross domesticproduct (GDP) and its main components from the expenditureside, including private consumption, governmentexpenditures, and gross fixed capital formation.
