【 摘 要 】

This paper addresses two main topics:the effects of conflict on the psychological; and well-beingof women methodological issues related to the measurement ofpsychological well-being. The literature on these topics isreviewed, and data from a qualitative study conducted innorthern Uganda is used to explore them in more depth.Finally, the paper considers the ways in which conflict hascontributed to women's psychological distress innorthern Uganda, and the implications of this study forfuture programming and research.
