【 摘 要 】
Ukraine is renowned as the breadbasketof Europe thanks to its black soils ( Chernozemblackbecause of the high organic matter content) which offerexceptional agronomic conditions. One-third of the worldwidestock of the fertile black soils, which cover more than halfof Ukraine s arable land, a large variety of climatic zones,and favourable temperature and moisture regimes, offersattractive conditions for the production of a large range ofcrops including cereals and oilseeds. Ukraine s proximity tolarge and growing neighbouring markets the RussianFederation and the European Union and access to deep seaports at the Black Sea, provide direct access to worldmarkets, especially large grain importers in the Middle Eastand North Africa.
