The main objective of the book is toanalyze Slovenia's threefold transition in the contextof a broader transition process in Central and EasternEurope and to contribute toward filling the obvious gap inthe literature on this subject. The book provides anoverview of the most important developments faced bySlovenia during its transition-the achievements, theproblems, and the challenges-and discusses the lessons thathave been learned and the main challenges that Slovenia canexpect to face.Interdisciplinary in character, the bookfocuses onsocioeconomic and political aspects andintegrates them into the existing pool of knowledge aboutthe transition process.
