【 摘 要 】
This publication brings togetheroriginal sociological research, evaluations of programs, andthe first comparative cross-country household survey onethnicity and poverty. It finds that Roma poverty ismulti-faceted and can only be addressed by a comprehensivepolicy approach that attends to all dimensions of Romasocial exclusion. It proposes an inclusive policy approachwhich would expand and promote Roma involvement andparticipation in mainstream society, while maintainingcultural and social identity and autonomy. Policy mechanismsinclude those which make existing policies more accessibleto Roma and identifying areas where targeted initiatives are needed.
