Abengourou, with a population of 444,000inhabitants, is one of the ten regions in Coted'Ivoire. In this region, the fight against HIV/AIDS isenforced by a Regional Coordination Committee. What isspecial compared to other regional initiatives in the fightagainst HIV/AIDS is the organizational and communityapproach as well as the system established for financing activities.
