The author proposes three types ofanticorruption strategies: those that reduce the benefitsthat officials control, those that increase the costs ofbribery, and those that limit the bargaining power ofofficials. In essence, fighting corruption involvesintroducing more competition, privatizing governmentactivities, and introducing greater transparency.
