【 摘 要 】

The Vietnam Handwashing Initiative (HWI)was launched in January 2006 by the Ministry of Health (MoH)with funds from the Danish Embassy in Vietnam and technicalassistance from the Water and Sanitation Program (WSP). Thislearning note documents the development process of thecaretakers' program with a focus on how it wasdesigned, implemented, and monitored. Lessons learned andchallenges are also highlighted to assist program managersin designing and managing evidence-based handwashing withsoap or other hygiene promotion programs. A separatepublication will focus on the process of developing thechildren's handwashing program.
