【 摘 要 】
This book is a report on success-successin trade liberalization and in the removal of trade barriersso as to integrate Latin American economies into theinternational economy. More particularly, this book is abouthow several Latin American governments created and managedsafeguards and antidumping mechanisms as part of thisliberalization. The core of this book is a set of studiesdescribing how seven Latin American countries-Argentina,Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Peru-haveused these trade instruments. Each country study wasconducted by analysts from that country. Many of theanalysts were high government officials during theircountry's liberalization, so they have hands-onexperience with the construction and the management of these instruments.
