【 摘 要 】

This paper provides an overview of themacroprudential measures undertaken by the National Bank ofthe Republic of Macedonia to prevent further deteriorationof the systemic risk and to promote resilience of thebanking system. The measures were generally aimed ataddressing the time dimension of the systemic risk and wereintended to protect the banking system against the increaseof credit risk arising from the credit boom. The paper alsooutlines the future challenges facing financial regulationand supervision, as well as the most important quantitativeand qualitative impacts of the utilized macroprudential measures.
